Well, the one time Ron and I went skiing -- so long ago I don't think you were born yet -- he tried to teach me the basics and I was hopeless at getting it. I'm an unbalanced klutz to start with, and he pissed me off with his "you're not trying" attitude. I took my glove off so it would hurt more when I slapped him. He claims you can still see the mark.

We were with Bob and Lisa, and Lisa came up huffing about what an ass Bob was trying to teach her how to ski. In the end, we had a husband swap. I actually made it down the bunny slope without falling under Bob's directions; she was able to ski thanks to Ron.

Still didn't like it well enough to try again, though. I'll take ice skating.
